For thousands of years, the Chinese have used Korean Ginseng as a preventative treatment to stimulate and cultivate the body’s well being. Korean Ginseng is credited with preventing and treating stress and fatigue as well as repairing the sexual center in the brain. Korean Ginseng has thirteen ginsenosides including panaxans and polysaccharides. Panaxans are responsible for lowering blood sugar levels and polysaccharides build the immune system. The panax found in ginseng is recommended for use in treating type 2 diabetes. Polysaccharides strengthen the body’s immune system which defends the body against diseases and stress related illnesses by activating the growth of disease fighting T-cells.
Ginseng is known as an adaptogen. Adaptogens are compounds found in the body known to relieve stress. Korean Ginseng supports the hypothalamus, pituitary and adrenal glands which are known to combat stress. Korean Ginseng also stimulates endorphin production. Endorphins are responsible for providing the body with euphoric sensations. Korean Ginseng also targets the region of the brain that promotes sexual stimulation. It increases testosterone levels and raises sperm count. Korean Ginseng can be taken orally or by applying it to the body. In the treatment of erectile dysfunction, male patients are treated by rubbing the medicinal product on their genitalia. Studies show that by taking Korean Ginseng, male subjects reported an increase in sexual desire, the ability to obtain and maintain an erection and a higher sperm count. (more…)
